Having studied under many international masters I gradually developed my own personal approach to painting portraits without a preliminary sketch. This is the first time I am sharing my “Jean Haines Portrait Technique” leading us into the magical world of painting faces. We start with a simple study of Monet. From a creative first wash to adding details; a face will magically appear on your paper if you follow my instructions. Please don’t be daunted as these faces can become extremely addictive once you have mastered my style!
